Upgrading
While upgrading the fixed table extensions on my Makita 10" sliding miter saw, i decided to replace the blade clearance inserts. I looked up the replacement parts, ordered them and sat back to wait for their arrival. With the Christmas shipping rush I didn't expect quick delivery but to my surprise they were delivered before Christmas. Only one problem quickly became evident.......the were the wrong parts. I haven't had time to follow up on this error and due to all our holiday commitments I was unable to start corrective action. I also forgot to get to it. 1 remove metric allen set screw and drive main pin out of upper arm.
2 remove screw holding blade cover activating arm.
3 raise saw blade to full extent and set new spring in position.
4 drive main pin back into position and replace set screw.
5 replace screw holding blade cover activating arm.
