This is an original manufacturer sourced replacement part used on Makita compound miter saws. This fence adds height to the side. It also helps with taller moldings and work-pieces as well. This part is made out of metal and is sold individually. Replacing this part you would need a screwdriver.

1. Loosen the lock screw with an Allen wrench.
2. Remove the broken piece.
3. Insert the check ball with grease to hold it in place.
4. Replace with the new piece.
5. Tighten the Allen screw.
