Remove gear box housing from the motor by removing the four torx screws from the front the gear box. Remove the two torx screws from inside the gear box which then can expose the wobbler and drive shaft assembly clean old grease packing out of gear box, I used kerosene & a parts cleaner brush to remove all metal filings and old grease. T o finalize cleaning, I used \"CRC Brake clean\" on all parts which removed all grit & grime. The wobbler shaft bearing was destroyed. to remove the machined bearing, use spring clip pliers to remove the bearing retaining clip, The bearing may be tapped out from the other side if it has not expanded from excessive heat and ware, but if not, which was my case, Heat the wobbler housing shaft, cool quickly, heat again, tap out carefully using a punch from the INSIDE of worn bearing. This may take some time, Finesse and patience is the key. To get new bearing back in straight, FREEZE the bearing at least overnight in your deep freezer This causes the bearing to contract slightly which makes the installation much easier in to the machined fit of the wobbler shaft. Do not smack it with a hammer trying to force it in place but light taps with a hammer and a block of wood on a flat surface will ensure the bearing is \"seated\" properly. re install the spring clip. Repack the gear box housing needle bearing first, which is located in the front of the housing with a good quality bearing grease. Repack the wobbler bearing and all moving parts generously I used Lucas Heavy Duty wheel bearing grease. Then filled the gear box with approx. 1/2pound or so (3/4 cup) of grease roughly, assemble the wobbler shaft onto the drive shaft before you place it in the housing, this makes sure the needle bearing seats also on the front of the shaft. Re fit the two torx screws inside the gear box housing, using a dab of \" loctite\" then fit the gear box onto onto the motor , tighten screws.

Tools:

Remove rubber overmold
Remove gearbox
Remove drive shaft and wobbler arm
Remove retaining rings on wobbler arm and drive shaft
Use a hammer head to bang out the outer bearing race from the wobbler arm
Use a bearing splitter to remove the inner bearing race from the drive shaft. Could not remove them without a splitter.
Clean the surfaces before installing the new bearings
Slide the wobbler retaining ring on the drive shaft before installing the bearings
Install the new bearings on the drive shaft. Use a socket to hammer them on. Can freeze the shaft for a day to shrink it a bit.
Install the wobbler arm over the bearings. Slight pressure with a vise helps to slide the bearings into the wobbler arm.
Install the retaining rings.
Clean old grease from the gearbox.
Apply new grease to the gearbox, bearings, blade arm.
Reassemble gearbox to drive motor.
Reinstall rubber overmold.
Reinstall blade shoe.

Sawzall 6537 22 916G (not a drill) sentimental value and It belonged to a friend.
Removed front reciprocating part and found counterbalance had split into two halves. Plastic handle was heavily taped and I assumed it was broken. Insulation on power cord cracked and ground plug missing. Ball bearings on the main wobble plate a littl e gritty. So I ordered counterbalance(42-87-0090),left handle(31-44-1666), right handle(31-44-1661), bearings(02-04-1510) and power cord(48-76-4008) (didn\'t want friend to get electrocuted) and genuine Milwaukee grease. Received all parts except there were two right handles and no left. Called in and reordered left hand handle(31-44-1666). Installed front end parts and sawzall seems to run perfectly. Removed layers of tape from handles to see which was broken. Neither handle was broken. Someone had taped them up for unknown reason. Runs good.
