The foam intake port plug goes between the inlet valve gasket and the filter screen and helps to clean the air. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and used in Campbell Hausfeld air compressors and is available as an individual replacement part. It is made out of a foam material and will need to be replaced when it becomes dirty. A socket set and a torque wrench may be required when replacing this part.
