The purpose of a pressure switch is to control when the compressor should start and stop building up pressure. Unfortunately, over time components will wear out and may begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. This pressure switch cuts in at 120psi and cuts out at 150psi. Please make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this hardware. Keep in mind this high-quality pressure switch is sold individually.

Repair was pretty straight forward. I removed all of the parts from the old pressure switch, you may want to take a picture before doing this. Replace the pressure switch, and the all of the parts associated with it. Turned it on and it worked great.

Replaced the regulator and pressure switch and it works like new. It was cheaper spending money for the parts than buying a new compressor.

It was difficult to unscrew the shrouds over the compressor motor then once I got those off I had to take the base bolts out of the motor and compressor unit so it would allow me to unscrew the gauges relief valve and quick disconnect cause the pressure switch would have hit the compressor shaft. Then when I tried to get the pressure swit ch off with a pipe wrench the nipple broke off in the tank so I got an easy out tool to reverse it out of the whole but the tool was just digging into the tank so I got a drill and drilled a little at a time so I wouldnÆt cut into the threads in the tank then I reversed the job to install
