It is a genuine OEM supplied replacement air cleaner element, it is specially designed for use with Kohler engines. The purpose of this element is to ensure the air that goes into the carburetor and the engine is free of dust and other contaminants. Diagnosed that fuel pump wasnt working. Carburetor was obsolete so no rebuild kit, so i bought a new one and installed it while I did the fuel pump and replaced the fuel lines and cleaned out the system. General tune up and tune. My father in laws cub cadet runs just like new, and sounds healthy again.
