Grommet was missing. Ordered new grommet and spark plug Removed the old spark plug and gapped the new one at 0.030. After replacing these parts and adding gas, mower cranked after numerous pulls. After cutting the grass the mower now cranks on first pull. This mower had not been cranked in over a year. I also mixed \"Mechanic in a Bottle \" with the gas.

I removed the lever panel, gas tank, and carborater in that order. I cut a new gasket for the carb to rest on, flushed the carb with cleaner, flushed the gas tank with fresh gas, replaced the diaphram, and reassembled. Finally adding the air filter and replacing the cap. She cranked up after ten pulls. The grommets had weathered and neede d replacing. Other than that, it was pretty straight forward.

Ordered carburetor for a 25 yo Pollen Garden teller w/Brigs 5 hp engine. Two screw holes had to be opened up with tap. Ordered later two grommets that were needed to replace the old parts. Most difficult to replace this carb. on this engine. When done Just two pulls and purring like a kitten. Good carb.

Remove the four screws that hold the diaphragm cover plate to the carburetor.
Remove the cover plate. Notice the orientation of the diaphragm and remove it. At this point spray some carb cleaner through the orifices to remove any debris.
Place the new diaphragm on the carburetor (there is only one way the diaphragm will fit) and attach the cover plate to the carburetor with the four screws.
