This is a genuine replacement part manufactured for use with chipper/shredders from Craftsman. This part connects to the impeller, which shreds or cuts debris into smaller pieces. took the chipper apart, shroud, and blades, replaced cutter blades reassembled shroud. 88years old, down on my knees in the dirt. After 3 minutes every muscle and joint screaming out, \" Stop---quit===go find your chair. But I got it done, and the chipper works. Praise God!!!!
Disconnected spark plug, removed housing guards from both branch shredder and leaf shredder, removed blades (spacer on new one not necessary according to Craftsman notice), installed new ones, replaced housings, connected spark plug and ran engine. Will sharpen original blades and keep for emergency.
