Genuine Poulan replacement part, this item is sold individually. The purpose of the Air Filter is to block dust and debris from entering the carburetor and engine and causing damage. Once an Air filter becomes dirty, it constricts the flow of air to the engine making it not run properly. It is advised to keep an extra one or two on hand.

Cleaned the carburetor, Purge bulb was cracked, so changed it. put new air filter on & new fuel filter. Also changed the spark plug & cleaned the spark arrestor. didn\'t take very long at all. super easy, believe anybody could do it.

Accidentally ran over chainsaw with bobcat and replace parts that was damage

Watch ereplacementparts on youtube on how to install spring-starter was helpful. I could be wrong but couldn\'t find and order other decals for side the of housing-fan (poulan model P3816) and rear of shield-cylinder (instruction on how to start and stop chainsaw).

1. Removed starter housing.
2. Removed top cover.
3. Removed carburetor.
Needed to watch a video for fuel line placement. Saw 3 videos and all were different. Pay special attention to fuel line routing as you disassemble.

Chainsaw would not Start

Removed air filter cover, then removed the old filter and replaced it with the new one. Removed the fuel lines one at a time from the old purge bulb, Then attached the fuel lines to the new bulb. Removed the old spark plug. I gapped the new spark plug at 0.025 and then installed it.

Remove the air filter cover and discard the old air filter, Install the new air filter, and replace air filter cover.
