Product Description

?

This authentic OEM exhaust gasket is the seal between the heat deflector and the guard of your chainsaw cylinder, preventing hot exhaust gases from escaping and directing them away from the engine. It is usually found around the exhaust port on the cylinder. However, over time, the gasket can wear out, crack, or become damaged due to exposure to high temperatures and vibrations, leading to exhaust leaks. When this happens, you may notice increased noise or visible smoke around the cylinder area. To replace the exhaust gasket, start by removing the plastic cylinder cover and then take off the muffler by removing its supporting bolts. After that, you can replace the worn-out gasket with the new one. Please note that this replacement part is sold individually and that your chainsaw uses multiple gaskets, so it is crucial to ensure you purchase the correct one for your specific repair needs.

Pretty simple the person using the saw did not turn it off when he heard a change in the saw operational sound. Muffler came loose when one of the screws came loose and he kept using it until the saw overheated melting some of the internal plastic parts near the muffler. Removed muffler and replaced the gasket and plate and then put new s crews in with lock washers to secure. Saw runs like a dream. The melted plastic did not harm the operation of the saw or performance.

The chain saw is a Husqvarna 345 and is a great saw and you guys/gals had the parts that I needed and it was much appreciated and the price and delivery time was great!

Had my brother tap out the broken bolt. He is a miracle worker!
Installed new gasket
Attached muffler & muffler bracket (read that Husqvarna 350 chainsaws have this problem of the muffler falling off, so they created an additional bracket that partly bolts into where the GÇ£dogsGÇ¥ are and onto the muffler so it wonGÇÖt fall o ff anymore. ThatGÇÖs the theory anyway)
Pretty straight forward repair.
Put new screen on muffler due to carbon buildup. (old saw)
Thanks for having the parts!

I had to remove carb and exhaust first then the cyl and piston. Then I reversed the order to put back together. Note my chainsaw was a Jonsered the carb throat needs to be on cylinder assembly before putting on the crankcase.
