This is a genuine manufacturer-sourced part which is specially designed for use with Poulan Chainsaws. Bar adjuster pin places tension on the bar when you tighten the bar adjuster screw. The bar adjustment pin is part of the clutch cover assembly. The pin connects to the adjustment screw and fits into a hole on the bar. When the screw is turned it moves the adjustment pin to either tighten or loosen the chain on the bar. The most common reason for replacing the bar adjustment pin is if the chain is loose and falling off the bar or if the threads are stripped on the pin. The bar adjustment pin is sold individually. Let the engine cool and disconnect the spark plug wire before installing this part. Tools you will need for this repair are a chain adjustment tool (Scrench) or ratchet/socket/wrench set a Flat-blade screwdriver and a Long-handled screwdriver.
