Product Description ?

This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement electric motor designed for Nutone ceiling heaters and exhaust fans. It is the main unit that drives the fan. Please note, this item is sold individually.

When replacing this motor assembly you will need a screwdriver.

• First you would need to remove the plastic cover/grille
• Unplug the power unit
• Remove the old motor assembly
• Secure the new assembly in place
• Connect the power unit and secure the cover

    Awaited the vent motor replacement before disassembling - matched the old- removed from housing- cleaned all parts including blower blade - removed the old motor from mountings - installed the new- reinstalled in the housing- turned on- All Done.

    fan motor noise and vibration

    Screwdriver, Wire nuts and wire stripper

    1. Removed light grill cover
    2. Unplugged vent motor, removed two screws and removed fan unit
    3. Installed new fan on new vent motor.
    4. Cut plug off of old vent motor and wired onto new vent motor
    5. Plugged in new vent motor, attached vent motor to unit and replaced light grill cover.
    6. Project completed

    Removed the fan assembly, pulled the fan off the motor, removed the motor from the frame and replaced it. Reversed the whole process and the fan works first time, every time.

    Remove the vent cover, and light fixture. Unplugged the vent. Removed the two 2.5" screws that hold the vent in the case. Removed the vent and replaced with new motor. Screwed the vent back in place, plugged it in, and tested that it worked. Replaced the light and vent cover.

    Open unit and remove two screws holding light assembly and cover in place.
    Take a picture of the fan before you remove any more parts, as these can go in a few different ways, but only one way is correct!
    Have a shop vac handy. There will be a lot of dust!

    Bathroom vent motor seized.

    Removed motor and plenum as an assembly. Cleaned entire unit. Installed new motor using original fan. Works great. 2nd time in 10 years doing this. Only problem was the electrical plug was on wrong. Had to trim larger prong to fit. Will be sure to use you folks again.
