This component is fitted onto the bagger chute adapter, securing the discharge chute to the mower\\\'s chute adapter. A wrench and a screwdriver may be helpful for the removal and replacement. Great fit, like the lost part.
I discovered the chute on the deck had caught on a utility brace line and when it came loose the strap had been thrown off. I limped the mower back to my shed and took off the bagger so I could finish the lawn. Once at home, I started to look online for a replacement. Sears parts direct was a no go and Repair Clinic also came up empty. Both of those sites were solid suppliers of parts in the past, so I feared that the part would be unavailable. I did a general search using the Brave browser and found this company. They had the part and it was priced right so I ordered 2. The part was back ordered for awhile but was delivered and fits like the old missing one. Great fit great price.

1 Remove screw and fastener from each assembly.
2 Secure new latches with same screw and fastener, making sure they are in same orientation as the old ones

I had noticed the discharge chute would not stay in place. Closer inspection revealed the latch assembly was missing. eReplacementParts provided the correct part which was easily installed. I used a longer bolt and double nutted it to prevent a re-occurrence.

Attached the mower bag assembly latches to the new bottom part of the two-part chute. I then connected the new bottom of the chute to the old top of the chute. Also replaced the gasket cover in a matter of minutes. I was pleased that what I ordered actually fit my mower.

Order arrived quickly as stated. Purchased a new nut and bolt at the local hardware store since it was not included with the part......22 cents. Attached it to the base chute and connected it with the mower deck and the job was complete.
