The fuel line delivers gasoline from the tank into the carburetor. These fuel lines are made out of clear flexible rubber material that over time may begin deteriorate and crack allowing for leaks. The purpose of the 530069216 Tank Purge Line is to return the excess fuel that is in the carburetor after the primer bulb has been pushed.
The excess fuel is forced through the purge line back into the fuel tank.
Over time the Tank Purge Line will become brittle and crack and will need to be replaced.

The Fuel Line Grommet is placed into the fuel tank. The Vent tube, Fuel return line and fuel line are inserted through the three holes. A worn Fuel Line Grommet will cause fuel to leak from the tank. When replacing the Grommet it is advisable to replace the fuel lines at the the same time.

By pressing the bulb it will purge the air from the carburetor.
Then fuel will come up from the fuel tank through the fuel line then into the carburetor.
The excess fuel will be forced back into the tank through the fuel return line.
Over time the primer will lose its elasticity or crack and need to be replaced.
This is a genuine OEM replacement part, it is sold individually.
The Fuel Filter is inside of the fuel tank.
Its purpose is to filter out dirt and other debris from contaminating the carburetor.
It will at sometime become clogged and restrict the fuel getting to the carburetor,and will have to be replaced.
