When these two Bevel Gears are mated, it makes it possible to raise and lower the blade.

    Teeth had broken off the bevel gear that adjusts the blade up and down on my Dewalt table saw.

    Removed the 17 mm lock nut and wavy washer holding the damaged bevel gear.
    Removed and replaced the damaged bevel gear.
    Reinstalled the 17 mm lock nut and wavy washer, being careful not to over-tighten the nut.

    Screwdriver, Spring release tool

    Remove screws so motor could move for added room,used spring clamp removal tool removed old bevel gears and install new ones in the reverse order

    2. Remove snap rings
    3. Remove stripped bevel gear
    4. Install new gear
