Questions & Answers for Water Tank
My Delonghi Magnifica is a EAM-3400.N and I want to confirm this is the correct water tank for it? And it includes the magnet and cap that keep the magnet in place. Thank you. If it is I definitely want to order it.

This is a very complex machine. For several months I noted water oozing at the bottom on all sides.
After a thorough online review, it seemed that about the only thing I could simply address is leaking gaskets. Therefore, I changed out the water tank--which involved gaskets. Now after several days, I do not notice any extraneous water! I'm quite thrilled on this Merry Christmas night!!

frother and water tank leaks
1.Tank soaked in hot water to loosen end cover which was not replaced. with some force popped it off cause it did not want to slide.
2. dissembled back cover first by removing screws. took a little force to remove it. each side then was removed. would have been nice to know to slide it up since it has some hooks at the top.
3. frother was just 3 screws. The small o ring inside the cavity where the plastic water line attached was retrieved with a toothpick and reused in the new frother assembly.
4. reassembled sides and then back cover making sure the panels were positioned properly. I had to do this several times as the water tank side panel needed to interlock properly with the bottom.
5. After about 45 minutes, I tested the frother and tank. success-no leaks.

Fill Tank command would not let coffee maker complete start-up.
Pry silver water tank front off original water tank. Place original silver tank front plate onto new water tank. Fill tank with filtered water and insert tank into coffee maker. It worked. Cloudy water plastic tank shielded sensor ability to read existence of needed water level, there inhibiting startup procedures.

Simply swap out water tank
The Mmagnetic floats magnet wore out causing the out of water signal to always be on. I previously changed the switch inside the Delonghi expresso machine but the out of water signal still came on when tank was full. The float system worked. But apparently the magnet lost its power. Getting a new water tank with a new magnet float solved the problem.

would be nice to know that the front plate has to be removed from the old tank and attached to the new one.
Tried to figure out how to remove the tank without ruining it.

Took care of the blinking "needs water" light
Part came quickly, installed easily. Something in the magnet inside the tank, or the gasket seal was not reading correctly anymore and the water light kept coming on even in the middle of steaming or drawing shots right after filling the water tank. Note that the front silvery looking panel will need to be removed from your old tank and placed on this one. Back to working like new again.
