    It's great to find parts
This part was for a ceiling bathroom fan vent that's over 20 years old. I can't replace the whole thing right now so need to replace parts as they fail. eReplacementParts was the only place I could find this part. It seems that the original part is discontinued so this part is a retrofit. It required a minor tweak but after the install works just like the original. I've always used eReplacementParts with great success and will continue to do so. Thank you!

    No more noise
Finally got fed up with the noise from the exhaust vent. The vent was 10yrs old & I had my doubts about being able to find replacement parts. I really didn't want to have to replace the whole unit with a new vent because I was sure that there would be a little remodelling involved! I live on a small ranch & during these supply shortage times I've had a tough time getting ANYTHING from nuts & bolts to new equipment that I need to keep things running. So my plan was to search the web to see if I could find a complete identical unit and scavenge parts. I found some & then I went looking for parts diagrams to see if I would be able to scavenge what I needed. That's when I found ereplacementparts.com. What a GREAT site. Just type in your make & model number to get parts diagrams, even videos to show you how to do the job if you're unsure of how to use a screwdriver or you've never done a repair before. So I found the items I needed and they were actually in stock. WOW, I was amazed. Had to call my brother because we had a bet going that I'd never be able to find what I needed. Ordered, received & installed. So from this site I could determine the part that I needed; I got the part I ordered, undamaged and in a timely manner. My guess is that all the good repair shops know about this site & use it to get the parts they need for a repair. So even if you don't want to do the repair yourself, you'll have a good idea of what a fair price for doing the job should be by coming here.

    Bathroom Fan Back in Business!
Easy to order, arrived in time and with great directions! Removing the old fan was simple, but maneuvering the new parts into place and screwing them in from below was challenging...... but exciting to get them in and to have a quiet bathroom fan. Very satisfying all around!

    Easy Repair
The replacement part didn't look anything like the original, but the repair was easy. Only five screws. Everything lined up easily and the fan is as quiet as the original.

    Was what was needed...
So nice to get what was discussed and, done right the first time, installed and working in less than three minutes.....

    Challenging
It was a little challenging. Had to modify it little
    Guest - November 18, 2023 Verified Purchase
Easy, didn’t need the entire assembly
I was able to simply replace the motor in the existing plastic bracket in my Nutone unit. Didn’t use the shroud or metal bracket that came with the replacement assembly. Made the repair even easier and works great. If you have a unit with a plastic mounting bracket, try it. Or maybe you can order the new motor only and save. While my existing black plastic bracket differed significantly from the metal replacement bracket and shroud that came with the replacement assembly, the motor seems to be identical.

Could have been a better experience
Why o why did they go to this route I will never know. The band is a hair too wide so the fan motor does not quite fit and the tab had to be cut off because it wont fit into the hole, why, cause the band is too wide. Annnnd, the bottom hole to screw into the side of the housing doesnt exist. Took me an hour longer than it should have, good times.

Hi Elizabeth, Thank you for your review. Please accept our apologies for this situation. We will be in touch with you shortly regarding your order.
    Broken upon arrival
Fan was broken in shipping. The fan was loose in a thin box. The fan itself was nothing like the original much cheeper not worth 70 bucks. Then they wanted me to buy a second one to replace the first. I have too trust them but they dont trust me. Wanted me to return the broken one but didn't give me a prepaid shipping label.

Removed the motor and blower wheel from the new vent assembly.
Cleaned the complete ceiling unit which includes a room light, night light, heating unit and exhaust fan. This unit is located in our bathroom and was caked with dust. I clean this unit twice per year and would recommend anyone that has one or something similar to do so at least annually.
Installed the new motor and blower wheel in the old housing.
    Reinstalled in ceiling unit.
    Works like new.

Remover the three motor assembly screws.
The Model number 66RP-B was the bear. I had to install the motor bracket. The assembly holes where hard to get to because of the light fixture. I guess if I had a phillips screw start that would of help. The one that only needed the motor assy only took 30 minutes or so.

Removing the old fan was easy as it was a one piece unit. Putting in the new fan was not as easy as the replacement kit was not the same. I had to custom fit the new unit into the holes of the old unit. They did not align perfectly, which required a lot of forcing the replacement to fit. In the end, I was able to get the replacement parts secured in place, and now the fan runs quietly.

Reuse old housing and throw away all parts but fan and motor. Much easier than trying to use the "complete" retrofit assembly. Trying to use the new retrofit housing would have taken much longer and been much more difficult. The new fan and attached motor fit perfectly into the existing old housing.

turned off light switch to fan and light. Removed plastic housing and removed light assembly. I unplugged fan from outlet inside of housing. Removed 2 screws of old motor and it came right out. I followed instructions and installed scroll band with screws. I slide in new motor behind center bar that holds light assembly. I screwed new fan onto scroll band. And plugged new motor into outlet. I turned on light switch the fan wouldn't turn. I had to loosen screws from fan housing to scroll band and pull it down a little. I tried light switch again and fan ran perfectly.I would recommend this part. Nutone 668rp

The new all metal vent assy was larger than the plastic version which required the electrical inside cover to be mounted correctly

    Difficulty

    Hard

    Time

    30-60 minutes

    Tools Used

Screwdriver, Pliers, Wire stripper and cutter

The electrical wire box is very small for all the required wires for the heat/light/fan unit. The cover inside the box was mounted with the screw but the cover tab was not in the slot allowing more room for the wires. The new fan being larger would not fit.
    1) Remove cover
    2) Pull out all wiring and undue all connections
    3) Cut back more outer jacket and shorten and re-strip wire length
    4) Remake all connections
    5) Replace all wiring into the box and reinstall the inside cover
    6) Install the replacement fan

Note: if cover had been properly install originally there would have been no issue. If installing a complete new heat/light/fan unit be sure to keep all wire connections as small as possible as there is very little room in the small box.
