Screwdriver, Socket set
Removed the mower blade,remove belt shield, removed belt and installed new belt ,compress spring to install the new belt, removed wheel nuts to remove and install new drive wheels. Then put trail shield on which was very easy. Slips on in grooves when you remove the old one.

1. Turn mower on it's side, Carb. up of course.
2. Bend shield slightly [It is flexible.] and it comes right off.
3. Bend new shield slightly and fit it in to the two holes.
4. This will save your ankles and your dog! PapaTom

The tail guard broke so I needed to replace it

The replacement part did not fit exactly, it was almost identical but not exactly, I had to drill some holes in it and then when I could not get the clips off of the mower to clip the guard onto the mower, I just cut the guard over more and slid it through the clips. So far it is working great.
