    Planer stopped feeding

    1. Removed the cover from the drive gear side of the planer.
    2. Removed the screw for the old torsion spring that was damaged.
    3. Put the new spring on the screw and partially thread the screw back in place.
    4. Use pliers to flex the spring into position.
    5. Tightened the screw completely.
    6. Reinstalled the cover.

    The torsion spring broke which allowed the planer to skip when you tried to feed wood in to it.

    I replaced the worn sprocket and tension ring and the torsion spring which stopped the skipping when planeing. The parts I ordered were shipped promptly for a reasonable price and they solved the problem. Very happy with the service I received.

    Planer feed mechanism stoped

    1. Removed side panel.
    2. Replaced drive sprocket and tension spring, sleeve, and screw that were damaged when sprocket failed.
