The throttle trigger is used to actuate the throttle wire that opens the throttle valve to engage the clutch and drive shaft. This throttle trigger is available as an individual replacement part, please note the throttle cable is available separately.

Make note how the spring is placed in the housing
Remove the spring and broken trigger and throttle cable
Install the new trigger and spring and throttle cable
Make sure when screwing the assembly back together that the wires and throttle cable do not become pinched where the assembly joins together.
Plastic trigger broke.

Split the handle apart, removed old trigger and spring.
Installed new parts.

2. Removed the broken piece and spring.
3. Thread the throttle cable through the hole in the end of the new throttle to allow correct pivoting while keeping the cable in place.
4. Placed the spring back in the middle of the throttle and centered the replacement piece over the fitting. Made sure the front of the spring was correctly placed in the right place to allow full movement of the throttle.
5. Sprayed some silicone lube on the center of the throttle piece to ensure smooth operation.
6. Replaced the screws which held on the cover.
