This part is made out of metal. The bushings fit between the steering shaft and the steer plate and help to support both parts. If these parts become broken they will need to be replaced and may require a socket set and a wrench set during the installation. They are genuine OEM sourced parts which are specifically designed for use with ride mowers by Husqvarna, Poulan, and Weed Eater.
