  • Excellent Quality Parts
I rolled the dice on Makita parts to fixed my old Stanley branded belt sander. The only Stanley power tool I remember seeing in 50 yrs woodworking. The stainless plate and cork/rubber pad are excellent quality. Plate is 1/4” wider than old plate. Had to drill one new hole in plate and widened 2 other holes with a fine chainsaw file to fit mounting pattern on sander. The Makita pad is self-adhesive so, no mounting holes for screws. When my sander was made, “self-adhesive” was just a concept “stuck” in the back of some innovator’s brain. Exploded views and photos are very helpful. But when I am making machines I often wish dimensional info and specs were available for parts. Great job on ordering/fulfillment/quick shipping.

High Quality & Works on various 4" Belt Sanders !
High quality spring steel. Perfect replacement fit for my old Craftsman 4" x 24" belt sander. NOTE: You will also need to apply a new adhesive-backed Sheet Cork Backing Pad to the new plate when replacing the old plate. Very thankful that "generic fit" parts like this are available to refurb quality old tools like the Craftsman.

    Quick Repair
Original plate was not flat creating huge ugly gouges in sanded surface. New plate and cork backer piece solved. Caution you must buy both.

My Makita belt sander was leaving uneven results. It turned out that there was a tiny bump in the old steel plate, barely perceptible. After installing the new plate and cork, the results are much better.
