Aligning the Miter Adjustment

1. Loosen the plate screws

Loosen the four screws that secure the detent plate. You may have to move the saw arm a bit to gain access to all the screws.

2. Lock the saw at 0 degrees

 With the screws loosened, lock the saw at the 0 degree position. Then rotate the head until it locks in with the detent plate.

3. Square the blade to the fence

Now use your square, aligned against the fence and saw blade, to find the true 90 degree angle.

4. Re-tighten the bolts

Tighten the outside bolts first to secure the detent plate.

Then move the saw arm to access and tighten the two inside bolts.

Adjust the 90 degree bevel


1. Unlock the bevel adjustment

Unlock the saw's bevel adjustment so the blade can move freely. 

2. Set the square in place

Now set your square--still set to 90 degrees--in place against the base of the saw and the blade.

3. Adjust the 90 degree bolt

Adjust the 90 degree adjustment bolt on the back of your saw until the blade is flush with the level.

Adjust the 45 degree bevels

1. Remove the fence from one side of the saw

You'll need to remove the fence from one side of the saw so you can level it.

2. Tilt the saw to the 45 degree setting

Set the saw to its 45 degree setting.

3. Set the square in place

Set your square to the 45 degree setting and put it in place against the base and the blade.

4. Adjust the 45 degree bolt

Then adjust the 45 degree bolt in the back of the saw until the blade is flush with the square.

5. Repeat on the other side

Repeat this process for the saw's other 45 degree setting.
