Cord was broken, brushes and switch worn

Disassembled polisher by removing screws in case, removed wires at connection locations, reinstalled wires. Removed brush screws in side of case, removed brushes and reinstalled new brushes. Removed wires from old switch, reinstalled wires on new switch, reinstalled case. Done

1. Opened up the case.
2. Disconnected the old cord.
3. Removed insulation on the new cord.
4. Installed the new cord.
5. Closed the case.

Makita Compound Miter Saw, power cable deterioration from age. Replaced.

Remove strain relief for power cable from rear of saw frame. Remove top of handle where power cable enters housing. Remove cable securing clamp inside housing. Remove main switch, remove wires from switch marking correct placement.
Remove sufficient outer sheathing from new power cable to match old cable. Strip insulation from powe r cable wires. Attach power wires to switch into correct locations. Install switch and safety lock into place. Install power cable securing clamp inside housing. Attach handle cover. Attach power cable strain relief onto cable and rear of saw frame.
Test unit.

No longer had electricity going to drill motor

Removed drill handle (containing switch) from drill body
Identified wiring scheme
Cut each wire pair, but left some of the departing plug wire attached to the switch wires to ensure correct rewiring with new plug.
After double checking correct wiring pair, cut off the rest of old cord wire on each pair and stripped the t wo connecting wires
Crimped connected each new cord wire to the correct drill switch wire
Packed wires carefully into drill handle and installed the 6 screws to reattach switch handle to drill body

1. Removed the handle cover.
2. Removed the trigger switch.
3. Removed the trigger switch wires and the old cord cable.
4. Reversed the removal process and installed the new cord cable.
