This is a genuine OEM authorized replacement part designed for use with Toro string trimmers. It is the part of the trimmer that contains the cutting line. It is made out of plastic and it is sold individually. Please note the spool housing and the cap are both sold separately. When replacing this item no tools are needed. • Remove the spool cap • Take out the old spool • Place a new spool and feed the line through eyelets • Secure spool cap

Remove old spool cap by depressing tabs, remove old spring and old spool. Replace spring and spool inside of spool housing, snap the spool cap back on.

Took out old spooler and put the new one in. Works great again. No tools needed to put new spool in.

I just followed the instructions to reassembled the trimmer. I\'m 74 and could understand the instructions very easily. The trimmers is working great!
I just put it back together as per instructions.

Spool assembly had become worn over the years and finally broke. The Cap-Spool was cracked, so I ordered a new one at the same time.
