This genuine 8 inch shield assembly is an authentic OEM sourced replacement part. It is specially designed for use with Toro and Lawn Boy string trimmers. This part is made from strong durable plastic and it is sold individually. The purpose of this shield is to direct grass trimmings away from the user as well as provide protection from the cutting string while unit is in operation. Please note, the string cutter blade and the hardware to secure it are all sold separately.

Cleaned the area around the shaft that holds guard. Fitted it into place and gave it a push and it clicked on. Very easy to fix.
