The protective cushion is designed to fasten the tank assembly to the tank guard. You will need a hex wrench to make the repair. The cushion is sold individually. I completed my repair at my friend\'s place, he wanted to see fix the Shindaiwa T270. I fix one at his place the other Shindaiwa T270 at my place, now my two Shindaiwa\'s finally starts up normally. Cuts great, trims great, and runs great.

Screw drivers, Wrench set
Removed the shaft from the engine, air filter, plug cover and clutch shroud, fuel tank and cleaned all the parts. Replaced cracked fuel lines and pipe assy, with fuel filter and breather. Replaced clutch and spark plug. Checked air gap at mag/coil and lubed shaft end splines and greased the head.
Keeping the cooling fins clean after each use is important to prevent overheating.
