Throttle cable is connected to the carburetor and it stops the engine when you shift the lever to the full choke position. Please note, this item is sold individually. To complete this repair you will need a screwdriver and pliers.

Broken throttle cable

Disassembled weed eater, removed broken cable. Connected one end to the throttle trigger and the other end to the carburetor.

Previous throttle cable was installed incorrectly and missing an end. Throttle trigger was broken.

Removed air filter cover and replaced previous cable attached to the throttle with new one. Removed throttle trigger cover replaced trigger with new one and fed new cable to connect with it.

S-hook on end of throttle cable broke + trigger was starting to crack

1. Took plastic cover off of carburetor to access linkage.
2. Disassembled trigger handle assembly
3. Removed old trigger and throttle cable, saving trigger spring
4, Removed molded end clip from new cable assembly
5. Cut off approximately 1\" of old cable shield and added to new (sliced down side, then slipped ove r new cable at trigger end) as new shield didn\'t take up enough slack
6. Connected cable carburetor and re-attached cover
7. Attached other end to trigger, place trigger and old spring back in handle assembly
8. Assembled handle assembly
