The throttle trigger attaches to the throttle trigger spring. This genuine item is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with trimmers made by Troy-Bilt, MTD, and Yard Machines. This part is made of plastic and is available individually. During the installation process, a screwdriver might be needed to replace this part. It will need to be replaced if it breaks.

Carefully remove the screws and spread them out on the table always have a clean tabletop to work with so you can put things back the way they came. How to remove the return spring without noting which direction it went so by trial and error went back together pretty good. Not my first time. Normally maintain all of my tools.
