Product Description

?

This Genuine OEM air filter is a critical component designed to protect your engine by preventing dirt, dust, and other small particles from entering the carburetor and causing internal damage. Sold individually, this high-quality filter features a double-layer construction that enhances filtration efficiency and ensures optimal airflow. Over time, filters can become clogged with debris, restricting air intake and reducing engine performance. For best results, this type of filter should be replaced—not cleaned—once it becomes dirty. Regular replacement helps maintain engine health and ensures reliable operation of your outdoor power equipment.

Replace primer bulb by removing metal plate screws and replacing old bulb. Remove and replace old air filter in same manner. Remove grommet containing fuel lines from opening in fuel tank. Attach new fuel filter to new fuel line and push through opening in new grommet from underside. Install new grommet in tank opening and then push r emaining tubes in proper holes. It is important to wait to install the remaining tubes after the new grommet is in place in order to have enough flexibility to squeeze the grommet to fit the opening in the tank.

Took the throttle apart and replaced the handle. This is not an easy task, so keep your cool. Took the cover off the muffler and took out the spark arrester. Tried the unit and same thing. Replaced the fuel line in case there was a pin hole in the line and cleaned the carb. Replaced the air filter - it was totally oil soaked. Tried it a gain and same thing. So after much thought, took the whole muffler off again and looked down into the port with a flashlight and low and behold the port was all but blocked. left the piston in place blocking the port and very carefully scraped the carbon out - blew the carbon out with air - lubricated it with oil and it ran like a champ. Adjusted the carb and it ran great. :-)
