Removed cover for air filter and then removed two screws that holds choke assembly. Installed new choke assembly with the two screws and replaced air filter and cover.
1. Checked spark plug. It showed to be running rich.
2. Checked air filter for cleaness. I had to replace it.
3. As I tightened the air filter cover, the bracket broke. So I replaced the bracket also.
1. Remove the bolt old cover and old air filter paying attention to the original coverGÇÖs side bevel placement.
2.using a screwdriver remove the two screws holding the bracket in place.
3. Install replacement bracket and secure it with screws.
4. I installed a new air filter and then placed the new cover in the correct
... Read moreposition and installed and hand tightened the wingbolt.
5.The trimmer cranked up but was idling extremely fast. I discovered a video that mentioned the throttle assemblyGÇÖs slipping down and creating really fast idle. Using a Philips head screwdriver I loosened the hand throttle assembly and moved it about a half inch nearer the engine, retightened the screws and when I cranked it up, it was much better.
1. Removed old air filter cover
2. Took the old double layer air filter
3. Unscrewed the two screws from the bracket and took it off.
4. Installed the new bracket and screwed the same two screws.
5. Installed the new double layer air filter
6. Installed the new air filter cover

Faulty carburetor was removed with two long Phillips screws that attach air filter housing and carburetor to intake manifold adapter.
New carburetor was purchased and installed along with corresponding parts from ereplacementparts.com.
