Will this spoil housing be compatible with my Gh900. Mine is missing the lever.

my trimer edger is similar to my gh700. 6.5 amp 14".Does the spring and lever come with the spool cover?Or does it even need a spring? I saw two on the drawing. But on the gh7000 drawing I did not see any spring?

The trim cord doesn't release when the bottom of the cord housing (cap) is struck on the ground. What is the likely cause? Do I need a new lever or other part? Thank you Richard

Removed the cap, spring and spool. Then used pliers to pull out the broken lever from the spool housing. Then pressed the new one on. Replaced the spool, spring and cap.

Removed the end cap and spool. Then used some pliers to remove the lever from the spool cover and then press the new one on. Then replaced the spool and the spool cap.

My son did the repair. Grasshog weed trimmer cap broke and flew off, was not sure what parts were missing. Purchased a replacement spring and cap then my son said there was some part that helps feed the line. Took a flat blade screwdriver, popped the worn trigger off and replaced with the new trigger. Also installed a new spool as the old one had wear. Nothing hard with this repair.

Remove the bottom cap, spring and spool. Take the new lever and press it on the pin in the spool housing. Put all of the parts back on that you took off..

Just remove the spool cover then remove the spool. Snap the new lever in and reassemble.

Remove the bottom cap by pressing the side tabs. Remove the old spool. Use some pliers to remove the old lever in the spool housing and then press the new lever in. Remove a few inches of line from the new spool and thread it thru the eyelet in the spool housing. Then snap the bottom cap back on.

The store where I bought it wanted to sell me a new trimmer but I used the internet and found you. To repair it all I had to due was pull it out with a pair of pliers then push new part with fingers and it works great. Thanks
