Old Gear spindle gear worn completely down.

Disassemble removing all screws open up. lift motor while removing spindle assembly. while waiting for parts use large rubber band to hold motor in position place all screws in storage bag wait for part.
A 7 year old could fix this weed eater.

Separated two halves of the motor housing and replaced the gear and spindle.
The new lever for the feed is already in the new part.
Replaced the spring.
Then installed the bottom cover

Opened up the covers and removed the old gear and spindle
Put the new gear and spindle in
Replaced all the screws
