Excessive string dischargeing out of spool

Removed screw at bottom of spool housing with an allen wrench. I put the new lever into position above in the housing above the spool. Pretty easy repair.

Trimmer line housing broke, cap was worn, lever latch not working.

1. Removed the old guard by looking at the new one and seeing where the plastic spring clips were.
2. Installed the new guard. Added the screw to secure.
3. Snapped the new lever into the base of the spool housing.
4. Installed the new spool housing, added the screw with an Allen wrench to secure.
5. Installed the new spool full of trimming line into the housing.
6. Snapped the new cover into the top of the housing, done!

Removed the bottom cover
Remove the spool
Removed the worn spool housing
Pressed the new lever into the new spool housing
Attached the new spool housing to the trimmer
Replaced the spool
Press the new bottom cover on
Works like new!

Remove the cover, take the screw out of middle take off housing. Put the new one on and the lever. Put the screw back on and replace cover.

I put the guard assembly on the motor housing. I also needed to replace the spool housing and lever. The lever had to be removed with a hex socket driver.

The lever was broken on the spool

Removed the spool then removed the lever. Put the new lever on the new spool, then tightened it with an allen screw and was done, very easy!!!!!!

Removed screw located at the center of the old spool housing, then I removed housing from trimmer. Inserted new lever into new spool housing, placed housing back in the trimmer and put the screw in tighten the screw. Bingo my trimmer was ready to go.
