The pushnut attaches to the wheel assembly. This part is made out of metal and is available individually. It might require a hammer to replace this item if it becomes broken. This is an original Bear Cat part for use in chippers, shredders, and trimmers.
1. Removed old pushnut by grasping with pliers and turning counter-clockwise.
2. Slid wheel, with bearings off the axle.
3. Slid new wheel, with new bearings that came with it, onto axle.
4. Positioned new pushnut and tapped into place with hammer.
Easy fix, but very expensive for replacement plastic wheel.
Removed upper and lower belt covers.
Removed tensioner.
Installed new belts on pulleys.
Reinstalled covers.
