This is a Genuine OEM replacement part used on some Shimano Fishing Reels. This part is made out of Metal and it is Sold Individually. Sometimes if it sounds like the reel is grinding when you are retrieving line, general assumption is to think there is a major problem with the gears in reel. In reality usually the reel is fine and just the bearing is compromised.
After going some time with a scratchy/grindy sound/feel when reeling narrowed it down to line roller. Didn\'t do it unless spooling line, oil didn\'t fix, so ordered all the line roller assembly parts(there are several). ... Read mored up(also had schematic drawing). Popped out the shaped washer pressed in bail arm recess with knife tip and installed new. Pressed bearing, and roller bushing, and roller together, gave a drop of oil. Then while holding screw in place, slid parts on in proper order(important), made sure ears on nut part were in slots, and reassembled. Fairly straight forward process, although my sausage fingers didn\'t help with those itty bitty parts.

Shimano stradic ci4+ reel making noise after fishing extensively in saltwater
Removed screw on bail, removed bearings, spacer and bushing. installed all parts in order removed. one small drop of oil on bearings and wiped off excess.Good to go. Quiet again.
1. Removed old line roller and associated parts.
2. Installed new line roller and associated parts.
3. Made sure new line roller was working.

The bearings had rusted and were making the line roller on my Stradic FL 4000 noisy. The bearing at the base of my crankshaft in my Curado DC 150 had also begun rusting
1. I unscrewed the line roller from the bail
2. Removed the parts and replaced the bearing
3. Scrubbed any remaining residue out of the roller housing
4. Oiled the new bearing
5. Screwed it back together without issue

... Read morehaft out all together. To remove the bearing at the base I needed to remove a small piece using a tiny flathead screwdriver. Be careful that you donGÇÖt lose that piece. After replacing and greasing the bearing, everything was simple to put back together
Removed old parts and replaced with new part I ordered based on parts diagrams of the reel. The repair was fairly simple and only require a screw driver to disassemble and reassemble.
Removed the handle and both coverplates on the reel. Removed the C-clip on the levelwind shaft and also removed the line guide. Pulled the nylon gear off the end of the levelwind shaft and removed the nylon bushing. Installed a bearing in place of the nylon bushing and then reassembled the levelwind, cover plates, and handle. Cleaning all the parts around the old bearing housing after years of salt water fishing and pre oiling the new bearings made my old Shimano Stradic reels operate like Butter once again
