Clutch spring broke during cleaning

Remove spool and rotor assembly, using tweezers hook spring To anti-reverse switch lever (note one end of the spring is slightly open while the other is a closed loop, the open end connects to the lever) then loop the close end over the post attached to the anti-reverse bearing. Reinstall rotor and spool. Assembly complete!
... Read more />Note: Be careful with the spring, it\'s TINY and will literally spring out of your hand and be gone forever. At less than a dollar I\'d recommend buying 2 just to be safe!

Needed to replace small clutch spring

The spring was very small and difficult to handle. Occasionally it would \"spring\" away lost and hopeless to find. Used 3 springs before I was able to position it right and get it to stay. It took a lot of patience. Once I did the first one i got a lot better as I developed skill and technique for handling the spring and hooking it. ... Read more />
Replacing the clutch was relatively easy. Since I was a rookie at this I tried to remember how the parts went together, however, I still mixed the order of assembly. The schematic was very helpful.

All back together cleaned, oiled, and greased.

What I learned: I\'ll repair and clean my own reels but will not work on anyone else\'s.

Anti reverse would not work.

Disassembled reel placed new clutch in place and hook clutch spring to anti reverse lever. Used forceps to control the clutch spring which is very small and hard to control with normal pliers.

Remove top of reel to access clutch spring. Use tweezers to place spring. Find schematics for fishing reel.

needed spring

Completely took reel apart to put spring in. cleaned and greased it and put it back together.

Was cleaning reel when spring broke, ordered part, within a couple of days part arrived. Took less than half hour to repair. Would definitely use REPLACEMENT PARTS again. Price was excellent, delivery was prompt, part was exactly what I needed.

I used a very small pair of needle nose pliers and carefully replaced the spring using magnifier glasses to see the small spring areas.

Salt water intrusion corroded all bearings

1-Disassembled the real completely
2- Cleaned all parts with still in their place with CRC and degreaser
3- Replaced each part Individually
4- Regrease all parts
5- Assembled the real with parts list illustration
6- Real feels like new
