This is an authentic OEM part. The Toro starter switch is constructed of metal, wiring and plastic. This item is compatible with many snowthrower machines, and is fitted in the switch box. The starter switch is sold individually. A screwdriver and a wrench are needed for the removal and replacement.

1. Removed handle assembly (8 screws)
2. Located switch and removed input power wires (2-black and white)
3. Removed load wires (2 black and white)
4. Attached all 4 wires properly to the new starter switch
5. Reassembled the handle assembly
6. Plugged it in - and it started
1. Removed the plastic cover which also holds the gas tank.
2. Removed the plastic housing that contains the electric start button.

... Read moreotor to the machine. Torx drivers and sockets are needed to remove the bolts. I was hoping the motor was still good because the snowblower is old and the motor is not made anymore. The motor was good. I replaced the switch and plugged it into an extension cord and pushed the new button and the motor ran. I then put the motor back on the snowblower and screwed the covers back on.
4. I had to wait a while for the parts to get to me because ReplacementParts had to wait for the manufacturer to ship them. I highly recommend ReplacementParts.com and will be a returning customer if I need parts.
