This friction plate is an OEM direct from Ariens. Compatible with many snowblower machines, this part is often fitted between the friction washer and the compression spring. Constructed of metal, the friction plate is designed to prevent damaging abrasion. This item is sold individually. A wrench and a screwdriver are needed in making the installation.

Snow Blower Chute control gears were worn out

06200234, 06500825, 06401013, 53214200, 08320900, 03222900, 03219000
Removed the 2 cover cap screws, and then removed the retaining pin from the chute gear. Then removed the lock nut from the bolt holding the pinion gear. I was then able to replace the chute gear, pinion gear, friction plate, compression spring, and all washers with new replacement parts. The job took about a 1/2 hour as I took my time an d the chute now works like new.
