This is a genuine OEM approved replacement spark plug. It is commonly used with Makita power tools. The purpose of a spark plug is to deliver electric current from an ignition system to the combustion chamber. Over time spark plugs will wear out requiring replacement. Please note, this item is sold individually. You would need a spark plug wrench or a socket wrench to install the spark plug.

Remove the air filter cover
Remove the old filter and install the new one, replace the cover
Removed the old spark plug, gapped the new one at 0.020 and installed it

Broken end on blower, replaced damaged air cleaner, changed spark plug

Ordinary maintenance on air cleaner and spark plug. Definitely improved starting and idle speed. End pipe was worn out. You are a great source of parts for a Makita blower that is over 10 years old.

Removed top cover to replace air filter and spark plug.
Removed the fuel and bar oil caps and replaced them as well as the o-ring seals to stop minor fuel and bar oil leaks.

Bayonet fixing missing and bayonet lock broken

Very simple repair. Replace the missing and broken parts and your good to go! Remove the old spark plug. And gap the new one at 0.020 and install it.
