This is an authentic replacement part that is supplied by original tool manufacturer for use with Porter Cable sanders. This is an adhesive, hook and loop fastener closure system. The hooks of the sander pad engage into the soft fabric loops of sandpaper safely securing the parts together. This durable plastic pad is sold individually, please note the hardware to secure it is sold separately.

opened the switch housing, was disappointed the new cord didn\'t have the connectors installed but took the originals off and soldered them to the new cord. unscrewed the old pad and replaced with the new. very easy fix.
Replaced pad. Everything went as expected. Prices were reasonable contact with vendor was very professional and digital. Delivery was fast and well documented. Tool is back in service.
9/16\" open-ended or 15 mm wrench to remove the old pad. The new pad includes the threaded stud, so it is a simple matter to screw the new pad in place, no tool required.
