Just disassembled the router by removing the brushes first and carefully pulling out the armature and then pulling off the damaged or supposedly damaged parts. It seems the vibrating went away.

Cracked spindle lock on housing

This was relatively simple to fix. All that was needed was to remove the four screws from the top of the router, remove the collect and nut on the spindle, and the housing slid off without any fuss. Install the old washer that goes into the cup/race that holds the bearing that is on the router\'s spindle, and slide the new housing onto the router. I used very light pressure with a clamp and wooden blocks (so as not to mar the new housing) just to ensure the bearing was fully seated. Once the four top screws were tightened, I added the collect and collet nut. The Router performs like new.
