This is an original OEM sourced replacement part which is specially designed for Makita compact routers. This item includes the armature, the fan, the armature bearing and the commutator end bearing. Due to constant contact with carbon brushes armature will eventually wear out and would need to be replaced. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing an armature. Please note this high-quality item is made of durable materials and is sold individually.

I removed the collet and collet nut, removed the brushes, pulled the cap off (4 screws) removed the old armature out and installed the new one, gave it a few taps reassembled and now I have a smooth running router.

Really bad vibration after fall onto concrete.

Just disassembled the router by removing the brushes first and carefully pulling out the armature and then pulling off the damaged or supposedly damaged parts. It seems the vibrating went away.

The bearings wore out on the armature and thought it it would be a good idea to replace the field

Removed 4 screws holding the armature and bearings. Removed the 4 screws holding thefield
and brushes installed field and armature is reverse order. Hardest part was getting the contact on the brush holder

Remove two brushes with flat screwdriver. Remove 4 housing screws and separate the casing. Pull out the old armature and slip the new one I. ItÆs place and reassemble.
