This is an authentic Homelite part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with gas-powered pressure washers. The carburetor connects to the cylinder and is used to supply the engine with a mixture of fuel and air. Unfortunately, over time it may wear out or get damaged eventually requiring a replacement.
