This is a genuine Presto replacement part, it is sold individually. The purpose of the 09924 Pressure Cooker Sealing Ring/Overpressure Plug Pack is two-fold. The sealing ring is used to create a seal between the Pressure cooker lid and the pressure cooker pot. In the event if the pressure regulator fails, and to much pressure builds up in the pot, the Overpressure Plug will pop out of the lid releasing the excess pressure in the pot.

I pulled the old sealing ring from the lid of the pressure cooker. I then cleaned out the area where the old ring was, so it would seal correctly. I placed the new ring in the lid with no problems. I removed the old pressure plug and replaced it with the new one. It\'s like I have a new pressure cooker again.
I removed the old handles and replaced them with the new ones . It was just 1 screw for each handle. I removed the old seal and pressure plug ( it just popped out) and replaced the seal and popped in the new plug. My at least 50 year old pressure cooker works like a dream. I can remember my mother using it when I was very little. They sur

My Presto pressure cooker does not seal well and leaks during cooking.
I just removed the old rubber seal and put the new one and it worked like new again. My pressure cooker is about 2-3 years old. The new seal comes with instructions that is easy to follow. The product came by mail really fast. I\'m very satisfied.

Our pressure canner was not holding pressure and leaked.
Replaced the pressure gasket around the lid. Also replaced the pressure release button on the lid. The canner was purchase in 1995. Glad this was such an easy fix to restore the use to \"as new\" condition.

Remove the old gasket from the pressure cooker lid. I then cleaned out all of the debris that had built up in the slot where the gasket goes. I then press the the new seal in the lid. Then popped out the overpressure plug and replaced it with the new one.
Simply put the new rubber ring and plug in lid and then it worked like new!
