This is a genuine Presto replacement part, it is sold individually. The purpose of the 09902 Pressure Canner Sealing Ring/Air Vent is two-fold. The sealing ring is used to create a seal between the Pressure cooker lid and the pressure cooker pot. In the event if the pressure regulator fails, and to much pressure builds up in the pot, the Air Vent will pop out of the lid releasing the excess pressure in the pot.

Removed the old ring, and cleaned out all the debris that had built up underneath it. Installed the new ring. Popped out the old safety plug, then installed the new one. Very easy.

Wanted to restore my mother\'s (deceased) old 6qt. Pressure Cooker
Now her pressure cooker is as good as new. The body handle had deteriorated, with a Phillips head screw driver, I removed the old one and replaced with a new one. Before replacing the whole body was thoroughly cleaned. The cover was thoroughly cleaned and the new sealing ring was installed.
I got everything I needed and it arrived on time and packaged really well. I have used all 3 the pressure cookers already. Thanks for the great service.

Pressure cooker rubber sealing ring was not functioning
Removed old ring and replaced it with the new one by hand. Same with plunger.
