This authentic replacement part is specially manufactured for DeWALT planers. The purpose of this part is to create a tight seal between connected pieces, over time the material may wear out and begin to crack eventually requiring a replacement. Please note this high-quality foam dust seal is sold individually. Make sure to refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this part.
1.Removed dust port Exposing Cutterhead
2. Removed bolts from blade binder
3.Removed bent blade binder and the 2 screws from bottom side of binder that holds tensioner spring in place.
4. Removed cutting blades to inspect and sharpen.
5. Reinstalled blades, new blade binder and tensioner sping
6. Cleaned dus

7. Installed new dust seals using gel super glue and let sit for 15 minutes before reinstalling dust port
8. Tested unit and everything ran great.
