This is a Genuine Manufacturer Sourced Firing Valve Washer/Seal used on Senco Nailers/Staplers. This Plastic part fits over the cylinder to provide an air tight seal. Over time this seal would deteriorate and might crack so the tool would loose its compression.

... Read moreI thought I should of ordered a couple of backups. There must be a special tool for this procedure. I could only get the seal about 2/3 on by hand no matter how hard I tried when I decided just do it, and used a pair of channel locks and pried it into place without damaging the seal, I hoped, put everything back together, fired up the compressor, loading the nail gun and it works to perfection. Celebrated with a cool one and toasted to you guys for making my day.
1. Removed the top of the gun.
2. Removed the old seal and the broken pieces.
3. Replaced the hard plastic seal above the piston using boiling hot water to soften it so it would slip back on.
Removed the top cap of the tool. Look at what could be causing the air leak. I located 3 worn seals and replaced them. The gun work like a new gun now. Note: put a little lube on the new seals

It had a seal that dried out and I replaced the seals, put it in shape like a new one
Removed the four screws from the top cap of the stapler, took the top, then out pulled the plunger, replaced the seals put oil on them so they would go on easy then put it back together, plug air up and works like a charm it was simple. You should not have a problem just pay attention.
I tried some of the ideas from other people like boiling in water to make it more pliable and using oil, I found starting by hand as far as I could then using a flat tip screwdriver to stretch and push down a little at a time I could walk it around.
Installed all the new seals I ordered. The nylon seal needed to be heated up so it would streach. I put it in a dish of water and microwaved it for one minute on high, that made it just flexible enough to get it on to the piston top.
Removed top six hex screws, removed piston,Had to boil new seal in water to get it pliable to fit it around the channel where it fit, put the screws back in and it worked perfect

Nylon seal in head of senfast tool disintegrated. Leaking air from cylinder head.
Pulled cylinder head by removing 6 screws
Cleaned debris from cylinder
Removed rubber O-ring
Replaced O-ring
replaced nylon seal (I wondered if I could stretch it into place. It took considerable force but finally seated
replaced head and screws
Wow! It works again without leaks
Removed the top cap of the stapler.
Removed the broken seal and all of the small pieces
Thoroughly cleaned the internal parts and oiled them
Replaced the top cap
