The trigger valve stem goes between the trigger valve guide and the spring. This part is an OEM from Porter Cable for use in nailers and staplers. Keep in mind that this item is sold individually and is made out of metal. It might require a set of pliers to replace this part. This item may become broken and will need to be replaced.

Took it apart replaced valve stem and head and the seal underneath the head. Replaced the seal on top of the nailer piston. I probably didn\'t need the valve parts and definitely didn\'t need the o-rings in the parts as they were part of the valve stem.
