This is an original Porter Cable part for use in nailers and staplers. The trigger valve head fits between the spring and the seal. If this item becomes broken it will need to be replaced and may require a set of pliers during the installation. This is available as an individual replacement part and is made of plastic.

Took it apart replaced valve stem and head and the seal underneath the head. Replaced the seal on top of the nailer piston. I probably didn\'t need the valve parts and definitely didn\'t need the o-rings in the parts as they were part of the valve stem.
